Senior Full Stack Developer

The role

Bittium SafeMove Comms is a quantum-safe, end-to-end encrypted communications platform for government agencies, defence forces, and critical infrastructure organisations. It covers voice, video, and messaging on Android, iOS, and Windows, and is built on a zero-trust architecture that customers can run on-premises, in air-gapped networks, in the cloud, or in isolated tactical environments. Within our Security business, we are looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Full Stack Developer to join Bittium Wireless Oy and the team that develops, deploys, and maintains SafeMove Comms across our entire customer base. The position is based in Oulu, Finland, and offers a hybrid working model. You will work on both client and server, and you'll have real influence on how the product evolves. When the situation calls for it, you'll take the technical lead, both within the team and together with our customers. We are a small team, and we see that as a real opportunity for you. You'll get to take ownership early, have a direct say in technical decisions, and learn faster than you would in a larger organisation, across clients, servers, security, and customer work. With that opportunity comes responsibility: you'll own what you build, and you should be comfortable handling the pressure that comes with work where our customers' security depends on us. Develop SafeMove Comms desktop and mobile clients as well as server-side components Solve demanding integration and architecture challenges without losing sight of the user experience Take ownership of problems and drive them to working solutions, independently or together with the team Lead technical discussions with the team and customers when needed Take part in deploying and maintaining the product in demanding customer environments

What we expect

• Solid experience in software development across both client-side and server-side technologies
• Strong software development skills and an agile mindset
• Good collaboration skills and the ability to solve demanding problems independently
• A willingness to take ownership and provide technical direction within the team and beyond
• Experience with desktop development using JavaScript/TypeScript and React, or with Android development
• Experience with server-side technologies such as Linux, Java, SQL databases, and Nginx
• Fluent Finnish and English
