The role

Plant-wide technology leadership throughout the facility lifecycle. Leading the development of the overall technical plant concept. Setting up and developing a multidisciplinary technical team of internal and external experts. Planning, coordinating and guiding technical work across different engineering disciplines. Supporting plant technology and vendor evaluation and selection. Ensuring consistency between safety, performance, operability, constructability and project requirements. Resolving cross-disciplinary technical challenges and design trade-offs. Ensuring technical quality during design and implementation. Working closely with plant suppliers, authorities, internal stakeholders and external experts. A key technical leadership role in one of Finland’s most significant emerging nuclear energy programs. The opportunity to influence major technology and plant concept decisions from an early stage. A central role in building Helen Ydinvoima’s technical organization and capabilities. The opportunity to work across the entire lifecycle of a new nuclear facility. Close cooperation with leading nuclear technology providers, experts and authorities. The opportunity to contribute directly to Helsinki’s transition towards combustion-free energy production.

What we expect

• 10+ years of experience within the nuclear power industry.
• Strong background in technical leadership in nuclear projects or operating nuclear facilities.
• Experience integrating multiple engineering disciplines into a coherent plant-level concept.
• Broad understanding of nuclear power plant technologies, systems and lifecycle requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical interfaces and resolve multidisciplinary technical challenges.
• Experience leading technical experts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English; Finnish is considered an advantage.
