Senior Embedded Software Engineer

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, in a consultant assignment, you’ll design, develop, and optimize low-level code for embedded systems in demanding client projects – one at a time, of course. You’ll be working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, low-level code for industrial and medical devices. Our clients support hybrid work, so presence at their office around Helsinki or Tampere Metropolitan areas is required (1-3 days per week). In addition, you are always welcome to work from our office in Vantaankoski (and soon Tampere ;) too. How to succeed in this position? With 6+ years of experience in embedded software development and a strong background in industrial device manufacturing R&D, you’ll have a solid foundation for success. Excellent English communication skills are essential, and Finnish is a bonus. You should also have: - Strong programming skills with modern C++ and Python - Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and/or Embedded Linux - Understanding of embedded software architecture and hardware - Experience with testing (unit testing, automation) and CI/CD pipelines - Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills in a dynamic environment. It’s a great plus if you also have experience from any of the following: - Distributed systems and cybersecurity principles for embedded systems - C, Yocto and/or IoT systems and tools - Supportive AI tools - Agile and Scrum methodologies.
