Senior Software Engineer, Internal DevEx

Uppgiften

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to a new team we are building that focuses entirely on internal developer experience. You'll shape how Aiven engineers write, test and ship code, from development environments and internal tooling to CI/CD pipelines. Every improvement you make lands directly in the daily work of every engineering team at Aiven. We want a generalist who knows software engineering best practices, is equally comfortable writing a fast, robust shell script and managing cloud infrastructure, and wants to build up a team from day one. Work with engineering teams to identify and prioritise concrete problems, then fix them. Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines. Build new developer tooling, or pick the best existing tools, and drive their adoption. Set sensible defaults for the whole organisation, such as project templates, testing conventions and documentation. Help shape how humans and AI agents develop safely side by side.
