The role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Product Data Management (PDM) implementation services for our Wismar office in Germany. Working alongside an experienced internal team, you will enable the planning and delivery of services within an integrated organization that brings together the customer, the technology vendor, and our own expertise. You will provide structure, support, transparency, and momentum across organizational boundaries, ensuring that business requirements, technical activities, decisions, dependencies, and deliverables remain aligned throughout the implementation. You are a strong communicator focusing on enabling the team to get things done. The Project Manager will work in a joint delivery organization rather than a traditional supplier-only project structure. Success requires building trust and creating one coordinated way of working across the customer (business owners, key users, IT, data owners, and project governance), the vendor (solution architects and software specialists and product representatives) and the internal team (experienced product-owner, implementation professionals, and subject-matter experts). Lead the end-to-end delivery of PDM implementation services from initiation and planning through deployment, stabilization, and handover. Establish and maintain the project plan, governance model, milestones, resource plan, budget, risks, dependencies, and reporting cadence. Coordinate the experienced internal delivery team and create clear ownership for workstreams, deliverables, decisions, and interfaces. Act as the central point of coordination between customer stakeholders, the PDM vendor, and internal experts. Translate business priorities and technical constraints into an executable implementation roadmap. Facilitate steering meetings, project reviews, workshops, and decision-making forums. Manage scope, changes, issues, and escalations while protecting agreed objectives, timelines, and quality. Ensure readiness for data migration, integrations, testing, training, deployment, and operational handover. Promote effective communication, documentation, and knowledge transfer across all parties. You will be successful when the integrated team has all information and resources required, clear priorities and ownership, stakeholders receive reliable information, risks and decisions are addressed promptly, and implementation services are delivered safely and predictably against agreed business outcomes. Proven experience managing complex PDM/PLM, ERP, engineering-system, or comparable enterprise-technology implementations. Strong project management capability across scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, and stakeholder communication. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a customer–vendor environment. Ability to understand business processes, product data, system interfaces, and implementation dependencies. Confident facilitation, negotiation, and escalation-management skills. A structured, proactive, solution-oriented and collaborative leadership style, focusing on enabling the team. Excellent written and spoken English; additional relevant languages are an advantage. A relevant degree and recognized project management certification are considered an advantage.
