Over seven weeks, you'll apply your knowledge in real-world projects, gain valuable work experience and build a professional network alongside experts and fellow students. Find the internship that's right for you We offer two different types of summer internships: Department internships Join a specific department and become part of the team for the summer. You will contribute to ongoing work, gain insight into daily operations and experience how your field of study is applied in practice. Summer projects Work together with other students on a dedicated summer project. These projects are designed to solve real challenges and give you the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines while developing innovative solutions. Find your summer internship project As a summer intern at KONGSBERG, you will work on real-world engineering challenges alongside other students and experienced professionals. The projects span software development, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, simulation, robotics, advanced manufacturing and product development. - Lone Wolf Sensor Fusion and Autonomous Drone Tracking - Local Hawk Developing Autonomous Drone Swarms - MATRIX Synthetic Data Generation for AI and Computer Vision - Mini Guardian Building a Scaled-Down NASAMS Air Defence System - THEIA Simulation and Autonomous Unmanned Systems - Coastal Monitoring Autonomous Systems for Environmental Monitoring - FORGE Digital Twins and Manufacturing Optimisation - PULSE From Requirements to Product Who can apply? Our summer internships are primarily aimed at students within science, technology, engineering and related disciplines. However, we also offer opportunities in selected staff and support functions, giving students from a wider range of educational backgrounds the chance to gain valuable experience at KONGSBERG. Internship locations The summer internship is offered at selected KONGSBERG locations in Norway.
