Senior Software Engineer (TikTok)

The role

Own significant TikTok product capabilities end-to-end, from customer-facing experiences to the backend services and APIs that power them Contribute across the full stack, building customer-facing functionality and the backend services and APIs that support it, using Node.js, TypeScript, and React. Drive technical and architectural decisions, balancing scalability, user experience, and delivery speed Design, develop, and operate reliable, high-performance distributed systems at scale Build and evolve reliable, scalable APIs and integrations between Smartly and TikTok, effectively managing API changes, rate limits, asynchronous operations, and platform constraints. Develop and optimize data-intensive services using PostgreSQL and Redis, running on Kubernetes Partner with product, design and other engineering teams to understand customer needs and shape solutions Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve products and engineering workflows Mentor fellow engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to high engineering standards and practices
