Uppgiften

We’re looking for an Accountant who can independently manage the full accounting cycle for an assigned group of Mapon entities. You’ll own day-to-day accounting, support month-end close and statutory reporting, contribute actively to audit work and help maintain accurate, timely and consistent financial information across several countries. You’ll also support a Junior Accountant’s development and help improve and automate routine finance processes. Take end-to-end ownership of accounting for Mapon entities in Spain, Denmark and Sweden including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, payments, corporate cards, reconciliations and intercompany transactions. Maintain complete and accurate accounting records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related document-processing systems. Manage fixed-asset accounting and prepare supporting documentation for additions, disposals and reconciliations. Prepare VAT declarations, statistical reports and other recurring local reporting requirements, coordinating with internal and external partners where needed. Support the monthly close in line with the Group Accounting calendar, investigate variances and ensure assigned balances are reconciled and documented. Participate actively in external audits by preparing workpapers, responding to sample requests, explaining accounting treatments and coordinating follow-up items for assigned entities. Provide accounting support for the Latvian entity and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Group Accounting team. Guide and support a Junior Accountant on work related to your country portfolio, contributing to their onboarding and day-to-day development. Use professional judgement to resolve accounting questions, escalate material issues appropriately and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate accounting processes, including practical use of AI tools where they add value.
