If you believe digital work should feel more human and tech should make people's work lives better (instead of more exhausting), this role at Gapps lets you turn that belief into everyday practice.
Maybe you're not actively looking for a new role right now, but maybe you've been thinking:
You'd like your work to have a more visible impact.
You want to own more than the specs someone hands you.
Maybe in your previous consulting role, you saw customers more often than your own team, and you would like to change that.
You want to help organizations make their digital work better, and bring change that actually sticks.
At Gapps, we're growing. We're always looking for Google Workspace Consultants to support our growth.
We want to meet good people early, before there's a rush. So we're building connections with professionals who care about connecting business, people, and technology in a way that means something.
If that sounds like you, this is your invitation to start the conversation. 💙
✅ Purpose: You'll help organizations succeed with Google Workspace changes that actually stick: migrations, configurations, adoption, AI enablement, and large-scale transformation projects. This sits at the core of Gapps' evolving, service-driven business.
✅ Two roles, one application: This open position covers two roles in our Google Workspace team. Project & Change Managers lead the delivery and the change. Solution Architects / Engineers own the technical backbone. Read more about both under Role details, and tell us which one sounds like you.
✅ Location: Hybrid role in Finland. Work remotely or from our Helsinki HQ (Kalasatama). What we care about is impact and ownership. How often you come to the office is secondary.
✅ Growth: You can grow deeper as a Google Workspace expert or move toward project & change leadership. Some consultants also shape how Gapps develops its productized services and AI-enabled delivery models.
✅ Team: You'll work closely with solution engineers, project & change managers, and senior consultants, sharing responsibility, sparring daily, and building solutions together. Nobody works as a lone wolf here.
✅ Compensation: Salary range OTE 42 000–72 000 € € / year depending on your experience and seniority. Principal level profiles discussed individually.
🚫 Why this probably isn't for you: The role comes with customer contact and responsibility beyond your own task list, and nobody hands you fixed instructions. If you're looking for a narrow admin role or a ticket queue, or you prefer clear-cut boundaries and minimal customer interaction, our culture won't feel right.
Maybe you've worked with Google Workspace for years already: as a consultant, internal IT expert, admin, project lead, or a hybrid of all of those. You know the tools well, and you've also seen the real problem. Technology alone rarely changes how people work.
At Gapps, this role exists because our customers need more than migrations or configurations. They need someone who understands the whole picture: how Google Workspace is set up, how people actually use it, how change is introduced, and how large organizations get from "we bought the tools" to "this really works for us and makes our lives better".
You'd be joining us at a moment where Google Workspace is still our foundation, and the expectations around it are higher than ever. Security, AI, mergers, carve-outs, international growth, hybrid work, and adoption challenges all land on the same table.

Enjoy combining technical understanding with people, communication, and structure
Like working close to customers and being trusted with responsibility
Want variety, because no two customer environments look the same
Appreciate calm, professional collaboration more than hype or heroics
Career-wise, Google Workspace consultants at Gapps grow in different directions:
deeper into senior Workspace expertise
toward project & change leadership
into shaping how our services, methods, and ways of working evolve
Titles matter less here than the credibility you build with customers and colleagues.

Gapps is a good place for professionals who have a life outside work and still care about doing meaningful, high-quality work. We're an expert house that's deliberately growing up: building clearer structures and raising the bar on how we deliver.
If you want a role where your judgment is trusted and your work has a visible impact, this might be it.
As a Google Workspace Consultant, you work where technology, people and change meet. Your job is to make sure Google Workspace environments are technically sound and secure, and that they fit how the organization works today.

The team's work typically includes:
Google Workspace projects such as deployments, migrations, mergers, carve-outs and environment consolidations
Supporting customers in configuring, developing and governing their Workspace environments
Adoption, communication and training as part of every delivery
Discovery & planning: understanding the current environment, risks, integrations and constraints before anything is built or changed
Acting as a trusted expert toward customers: explaining options, setting expectations and guiding decisions calmly and clearly
How you contribute depends on which of the two roles you're in.
You lead the delivery and the change. That means the project plan, the people, and the expectations on both sides of the table.
Your work typically includes:
Leading Google Workspace projects from discovery to cutover and beyond
Planning change management so adoption, communication, and training are built into the project from the start
Keeping customer IT, information security, HR and business stakeholders moving in the same direction
Resetting expectations and priorities when the plan changes
Clearing blockers so specialists on both sides can do their work
Working with Solution Architects / Engineers to turn technical decisions into something that works for end users
Projects range from smaller merger migrations to organization-wide moves. One recent example: Jyrki Rautio, our Senior Project & Change Manager, joined KeuSote's move from Microsoft to Google after the project had already started and been interrupted. KeuSote is the first Finnish well-being county to make that move, and it covers thousands of users.
💬 "You get responsibility. You have to be able to carry it. But you are not alone," says Jyrki.

You're likely a good fit if you have experience leading IT or digital change projects, and you're comfortable when the plan changes halfway through. Workspace knowledge helps. If you're strong in project leadership and change and earlier on the Workspace curve, you'll find mentors and real cases to learn from.
You own the technical backbone: how the Workspace environment is designed, configured, connected to other systems, and secured.
Your work typically includes:
Designing and configuring Google Workspace environments, including identity, access, and device management
Planning and running data migrations and cutovers, from Microsoft to Google and from Google to Google
Integrations with the customer's other systems
Security on the Google stack, such as data classification, DLP controls and access rights
Bringing AI into customer environments safely, for example, Gemini set up so data stays within each user's access boundaries
Sparring with Project & Change Managers and consultants on technical decisions, and helping translate them into real-life impact for end users
💬 "The fundamentals stay the same, but the tools move fast. We're right at the vantage point where AI meets real work," says Jaakko Pohja, our Solution Engineer.
You're likely a good fit if you have solid hands-on Google Workspace experience from real organizational environments, and you care about how your configurations feel to the people who use them every day. Security depth is a plus.
Most weeks include a mix of:
Customer meetings and workshops (remote and occasionally on-site)
Project work: planning, coordinating, reviewing configurations, supporting rollouts
Internal collaboration with project managers, solution engineers, and other consultants
Hands-on work such as documentation, onboarding materials, training content, or environment reviews
Problem-solving when reality doesn't match the original plan (because it rarely does)
Some projects are intense and complex. Others are smaller and more contained. What stays consistent is the expectation that you own your part and communicate clearly when things change.
Internally, you'll work closely with:
Project & Change Managers, who lead overall delivery and change tracks
Solution Architects & Engineers / Google Workspace technical experts, who focus on the technical backbone and configurations
Other Google Workspace consultants with different backgrounds and strengths
On the customer side, your stakeholders typically include:
IT and internal project managers
Information security and legal
HR, internal communications, and business stakeholders
Steering groups in larger organizations
This role suits someone who's comfortable working across functions and adjusting their communication style depending on who's in the room.
After the first 6–12 months, success looks like:
Customers trust you and give positive feedback on both expertise and reliability
Projects move forward smoothly, and issues surface early
You help improve how we deliver, alongside the delivery itself
You've grown your own understanding of Google Workspace environments, risks and best practices in real customer contexts
